As of May 19, 2023, the AALS guest room block at the Mayflower Hotel has sold out. If you need to change or cancel an existing reservation, use the booking link you originally used to make your reservation or call the Mayflower Hotel directly at (202) 347-3000. If you need to cancel your reservation, cancel by 6 pm on your arrival date to avoid being charged for one night room at $299 plus tax at 14.95%.

How to book a room
You must be registered for the Workshop to make a room reservation in the AALS block. After you register, you’ll be sent an email with instructions for booking at the Mayflower.
The hotel accepts all major credit cards. A hotel reservation guaranteed by a credit card for late arrival may be cancelled without penalty before 6 pm on your arrival date. If you do not guarantee your reservation with a credit card, your room will be held only until 6 pm on your arrival date.
All rooms will be subject to established taxes; currently tax is 14.8%. There is a $20 charge for each additional adult in the room beyond two. Children staying in the same room with their parent(s) are free of charge. Hotel check-in time is 3 pm; check-out time is 12 noon. The hotel is smoke-free.
*Note: If you register via mail or fax, you will receive your confirmation and hotel emails within 2-3 weeks, after AALS receives and processes your registration form and payment.
Dining
The Mayflower Hotel has one dining option, the Edgar Bar & Kitchen. Edgar serves traditional American brasserie cuisine in a modern restaurant atmosphere and is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Internet Access
AALS has arranged for complimentary high-speed internet in the guest rooms. To access, log into the hotel’s guest room network and accept the daily internet “charge”; the charges will be removed at checkout.
Complimentary wireless internet is also available in the hotel lobby and meeting rooms.
Parking & Transportation
Parking
Valet parking at the Mayflower is $66 overnight and $35 maximum for the day.
There is off-site parking across the street at PMI Parking, 1725 Desales St. NW Washington DC 20036. Pricing is $17 for one hour, $25 for 12 hours, and $35 for 24 hours. PMI has valet parking only with unlimited in and out privileges.
The Metro
The Washington, DC metro system is running at full service for trains and buses. The Mayflower is accessible via the Red Line, on the Farragut North Metro stop. For more information and trip planning, visit Metro’s website.
